WORLD OF LAVODEN

Lavoden is a world of red storms and constant rain, shrouded in grey clouds that make the vibrant cities pop with color. They’re stains against the dark atmosphere and within the pristine temperate rainforests covering this world. Like scars placed on the land, they are sparse, but massive.

One of these metropolises, Deep City, was once a beacon of life and freedom for the people of the world, but had since been leveled to a dystopia. Within its borders, violent gangs, brutal police, and a corrupt government that used its own people for slave labor, had overrun everything of value that still stood after a catastrophic civil war.

Still, many believed those things were the tamest of their problems. With the red lightning that cracked across the sky, energizing the world, creatures from the mist came with it. Daisters. Harbingers of death and smoke, revived from the afterlife in order to send more to it.

A man named Bearlan, one of these creatures and a member of a powerful gang called the Deep City Reds, used his unnatural abilities to kill those he was ordered to assassinate. After being told to end a girl granted the same curse as himself, he quickly found it was easy to disobey. And upon meeting the young woman, Bearlan learned he no longer wanted to kill at all... unless it was for her.

Returning to the world of Lavoden, a planet cloaked behind smoke and rain, Deep City still stands as the crime infested metropolis it was in Light of a Moon. But this time, a new light is cast upon it.

Addey Sartan, the second son of the most powerful man in the East, and the one whose kidnapping was a driving conflict of the story prior, had an important decision in front of him. One that would either aid him in discovering his purpose in life, or destroy it altogether.
